A fun-filled wedding

Joanna Elsmore and Ryan Welch held their fun-filled wedding at Hedsor House, Buckinghamshire on 1st August 2015

Ryan and I wanted our ceremony to have a very traditional, romantic feel, but wanted the rest of the day to have a real party atmosphere with lots of entertainment for our guests. They were dancing on their chairs and around their tables before their starters even came out, so we definitely did a good job!

Our venue, Hedsor House, had real wow factor and was the ideal setting for a big celebration. We chose a white, pink and silver colour scheme, and brought the space to life with lots of beautiful flowers. Euphoric Flowers were amazing to work with and totally brought my vision to life. The flowers in the wedding breakfast were just breathtaking, and everybody commented when they walked in.

We named the tables after my favourite shoe designers, and we commissioned an illustrator to draw my favourite styles. Our favours were delicious marshmallows, and our cake was an incredible ruffled style with five tiers!

My love of shoes carried through to my wedding look, and I wore a gorgeous pair of Valentino Rockstud heels with my dress. Choosing my dress was probably the hardest part of wedding planning I went to so many different bridal boutiques! When I first tried on my dress, I knew it was ‘The One’. I hadn’t expected to wear something with so much embellishment and thought I’d choose something with lace, but I just didn’t want to take it off!

It sounds like a cliche, but we really did have the best day of our lives there isn’t a thing we’d have done differently. Making entertainment such a key part of the day really put everybody in the mood for a fantastic time and we just wish we could do it all again!
